Couples Massage and Spa Days in Myrtle Beach: How to Plan One

Blog » Couples Massage and Spa Days in Myrtle Beach: How to Plan One

A spa day is easy to picture and surprisingly easy to get wrong — you book one treatment, arrive rushed, and leave before the calm settles. This is how to plan an unhurried one at Awakening Spa, on the fourth floor of Anderson Ocean Club & Spa in Myrtle Beach, whether you are coming as a couple or on your own.

Awakening Spa was named a 2026 Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice winner, placing it among the top 10% of attractions worldwide.

Booking a couples massage

Couples services take place in our couples suite, side by side, and all three are booked per couple rather than per person.

Couples Massage — 55 or 80 minutes

Two Swedish massages, side by side. The simplest version, and the right choice if one of you has never had a massage before.

Couples Reconnect

The same side-by-side Swedish massages, with a candle-lit sea salt soak for two added before or after. The soak is what turns an appointment into an afternoon.

Couples Deluxe

Reconnect, plus your choice of take-home aromatherapy, mimosas or champagne, and chocolate truffles. This is the anniversary version.

Guests must be 18 or older to receive a massage.

Building a spa day on your own

If you would rather spend the day than the hour, the three packages are already assembled.

  • Pure Indulgence. Warm Stone Massage, The Great Awake Facial, and an Aroma Sea Salt Soak.
  • Awakening Renewal. An 80-minute Swedish massage with a peppermint scalp enhancement, The Great Awake Facial with Gua Sha facial massage, and an Aroma Sea Salt Soak.
  • Ultimate Serenity. Aroma Sea Salt Soak, Awakening Massage, The Great Awake Facial, and your choice of the Beautiful Body Wrap or Scrub.

Packages may not be combined with other discounts or promotions.

Or assemble your own

Pairing a massage with a soak is the most common way guests stretch a visit.

  • Sore Muscle Relief. Eucalyptus, peppermint and wintergreen oils with Dead Sea salt — the one to book after a long drive or a round of golf.
  • Skin Quencher Relief. A milk and honey bath with rosehip and lavender, for skin that has had a full day of sun.
  • Relax Me! Thyme myrtle and a blend of essential oils in a steamy bath, for congestion and headaches.
  • Detox. Dead Sea salts with grapefruit, cypress, cedarwood and cinnamon.

These treatments are not suitable for severely sunburned skin.

Facials sit alongside them: The Great Awake, the 80-minute Age Renewal, and A Bright Future, designed to introduce teens to the basics of skincare. Small enhancements — a calm eye treatment, a hydrating lip treatment, a peppermint scalp massage — round out a visit.

A half day that works

For two people with an afternoon free, one order of events reliably works: arrive 15 minutes early, take the sea salt soak first, move into the side-by-side massages while you are already warm, then walk out onto the beach rather than into a car. The spa closes at 5:00 p.m., so a 1:00 or 2:00 p.m. start leaves room for all of it.

Before you book

Common questions

What is the difference between a couples massage and two separate massages?

A couples massage takes place in our couples suite, with both guests treated at the same time in the same room. Two separate bookings are treated in separate rooms and are booked per person.

How much is a spa day in Myrtle Beach?

That depends on what you book — a single massage, a multi-service package, or a couples service. Call (843) 213-5370 for current rates. A 20% service charge is added at checkout.

Can we drink champagne during the treatment?

The Couples Deluxe includes mimosas or champagne along with chocolate truffles and take-home aromatherapy.

Is there a rewards program?

Yes. The Client Appreciation Program awards points for your first service or purchase, for qualifying services, retail and gift card purchases, and when a new client mentions your name. Points convert to credit toward a future visit.
