Unmissable winter experiences in Myrtle Beach
What to explore in Myrtle Beach during the winter
We are mid-way through the winter season. If you’re already counting the days to laying on the beach and summer feels far away, planning a winter escape to Myrtle Beach is the perfect way to pass the time.
With an average temperature of 58 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit during February and March, and almost no rainy days during the winter, Myrtle Beach is the perfect place to visit and get that much-needed Vitamin Sea.
Winter might be quieter in Myrtle Beach, but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. To help you with some inspiration, we have prepared a list of fun things to do during this time of the year.
1. Treat yourself to a spa and shopping day:
Did you know that The Awakening Spa at Anderson Ocean Club is the best-rated spa in Myrtle Beach? If you’re looking for something different, their Winter Special includes a massage, a Vitamin C facial treatment, and a lip exfoliation at a discount. A morning of shopping or an afternoon at Barefoot Landing, Market Common, or Tanger Outlets is the perfect excursion with friends or on your own.
2. Indoor activities for family fun:
Myrtle Beach offers a great variety of indoor activities as well. A visit to Ripley’s Aquarium never fails to entertain families. If you’re looking for an extra dose of indoor fun, don’t miss 810 Billiards and Bowling. If you’re looking for more action and a place where your kids can burn some energy, then the Sky Zone Trampoline Park is the spot. Besides trampolines, a climbing area, and a Ninja Course for all ages, it also features a snack bar and a comfortable rest area for well-deserved breaks.
3. Enjoy a good show:
The diversity of theatres makes Myrtle Beach the perfect place to catch a good show, no matter your preferences. Choose from live performances at The Alabama Theatre and The Carolina Opry to look-a-like shows at Legends in Concert, or embark on a show and dining experience at The Asher Theatre.
4. Make dining part of your vacation:
With over 1,800 restaurants across the Grand Strand, a good food experience is a must for your winter vacation plans. This is also the best time to take advantage of restaurant special discounts. One of our favorite breakfast spots is Johnny D’s Waffles and Bakery. For lunch or dinner, we recommend Magnolia’s at 26th, just across from Anderson Ocean Club and Spa
5. Take some time to enjoy the ocean:
Although it might not be the most appealing time for a swim, winter in Myrtle Beach has plenty of sunny days to enjoy some Vitamin D while you listen to the waves. Take advantage of our winter deals and book an oceanfront stay, so you don’t miss a bit of the gorgeous Atlantic views.
